White Meadow Sunrise is a calming painting. It feels dreamy to me and i often imagine losing myself in a place like this. I love how it instantly invokes a calm mood.
This is an original, textured painting on recycled board. I used modelling paste to lift the petals so the painting can change depending on how the light hits. The white petals are painted over with metallic acrylic colour. Flower petals often sparkle when held up against the sun and i really like adding those sparkles to my paintings.
The board is mdf i have salvaged from going into landfill and cut up. It has been sealed and primed. Mdf is a great material to paint on as it is durable and, when sealed, does not warp.
