Often, it feels like we’re trading vibrant colours for shades of grey. The buildings, furniture, decorations, cars and even clothes seem to have the same palette of whites, blacks and greys. It’s almost a mood of the modern world.
I became a victim of the grey era as well and noticed most of the things i own, down to my dogs collar were grey! So i started painting with the brightest colours i could imagine. And this is the result. I love it and, if it ever sells, i will find it hard to part with.
Looking at this painting, my mood instantly improves. Bright flowers never fail to bring joy. To top it off, this painting feels like a summer meadow.
This is an original painting on cotton canvas. I used modelling paste to lift the petals off the canvas and painted with acrylic paint, including metallic acrylic paint to add a bit of sparkle.
