The buildings, furniture, decorations, cars and even clothes seem to have the same palette of whites, blacks and greys. It’s almost a mood of the modern world.

I became a victim of the grey era as well and noticed most of the things i own, down to my dogs collar were grey! So i started painting with the brightest colours i could imagine. And this is the result. I love it and, if it ever sells, i will find it hard to part with.

Looking at this painting, my mood instantly improves. Bright flowers never fail to bring joy. To top it off, this painting feels like a summer meadow.

This is an original painting on cotton canvas. I used modelling paste to lift the petals off the canvas and painted with acrylic paint, including metallic acrylic paint to add a bit of sparkle.
