I love gardening and take a lot of inspiration from the plants around me which is why i dedicated a whole category to just flora.
Some of my favourite plants are Australian natives and i’m a huge advocate for planting native. There are so many gorgeous and incredibly unique plants to choose from, one of which is Brachyscome multifida or Cut-leaf daisy. It comes in shades of purple and is a brilliant groundcover. I just had to paint it!
The painting is made on recycled mdf board i saved from going to landfill. I used modelling paste to lift the flowers off the canvas and acrylic paint. The petals are painted over with metallic paint to give them a bit of a sparkle.
