I live in the beautiful Blue Mountains in Australia and love when Purple Flags (Patersonia occidentalis) flower in late Winter-Spring. They bring so much colour to the bush and are such a pretty native.
I painted this piece on recycled board saved from going to the landfill. The petals are raised from the canvas to create a slight 3d effect and painted over with metallic acrylic paint.
